Relevant

I am convinced that it is not the Word of God who need to become relevant in this world, but this world is in great need of becoming relevant to God. God was before all things existed. What has been created is under the requirement of becoming relevant to what has created it. When Jesus says, "Depart from Me, I know you not, ye who practice lawlessness.." It isn't because He wasn't relevant to us. He has done His part in full. It's because we did not draw near to Him, live a life of sacrifice, and allow Him to be known through us. Don't let anything come between you and your discipleship with the Lord. That discipleship is the molding of your new heart in Christ and out of the heart flows all the issues of your life. Your spouse, your children, your work, your monetary means, your abilities, everything is affected by placing (or not placing) the Lord in the forefront. It is easily underestimated and in return tragically effective when neglected. "Well done my good and faithful servant." Which one will it be?
