Forbid Him Not

Luke 9:49-50 (KJV) - "And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us." The disciples who were serving Christ found someone evangelizing differently than they and thought it right to stop him, but they were wrong. Jesus told them they shouldn't have stopped the man from just because he wasn't with them while they were doing it or doing it the same way they were doing it. This is an important message for all denominations. Work together using all of the gifts God has given into the church for the equipping of the saints and the work of ministry. This is a message for all ministers. Just because someone isn't serving the way you've always done it doesn't mean it is wrong. It is important that no minister change the message of Christ, but the method of delivery and the work that glorifies the Lord is all apart of God's hand. The Holy Spirit leads every person in the gifts God has given them, and their hearts answer to Him. He that is not against us IS FOR US. Do not hinder ministry when it glorifies God and brings people to Christ. Every believers conscience answers to God and is directed by God. If ministers are not working against the message of Christ then they are working with you, don't get in the Lord's way. Forbid him not; He that is not against us is for us.
