Lavender Icing

Here is a beautiful recipe for homemade lavender icing. Beautiful, aromatic and delicious!! Springtime is almost here. Enjoy!

Lavender Icing


  • 3-4 cups sifted confectioners' sugar

  • 1/3 cup whole milk

  • 8 oz. of cream cheese, room temperature

  • 2 teaspoon dried culinary lavender

  • Purple food coloring

INSTRUCTIONS: Bring milk and lavender just to a boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat and allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain and discard lavender. Beat in sugar and cream cheese until smooth and stiff, about 5 minutes. Add food coloring until desired color is reached. Use on cupcakes, cakes and cookies. Garnish with a sprig or sprinkle of lavender.
