Use the Whole Watermelon!

Make the most of your watermelon this summer! 1. Use a melon-baler to scoop out the fruit and keep in containers in the fridge for quick snacking. 2. Use a potato peeler to peel the rind. Throw the peel in the compost, garden bed, or chicken coop. 3. Slice up the rind and make watermelon rind pickles! Place the sliced rind in a container with 1:1 ratio of water and vinegar. Add salt and pepper and cover in the fridge to pickle. After a few hours you can begin to snack on your pickles. Waste not, want not. Happy Watermelon devouring! :)
